A word from the Director of PJ Music Studios
Pamela Smirl
I love what I do and it makes me so happy to be able to share my passion with others. Since starting as a professional Music Teacher over 30 years ago, I’ve been privileged to see so many students discover their natural skills and abilities and reach results they never dreamed were possible. Very excited to announce that PJ Music Studios student Danae Kong was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to attend the European American Musical Alliance (EAMA) in Paris. She will be studying music composition this summer at EAMA, in the methodology of Nadia Boulanger.

CONSERVATORY CANADA AWARDS
Amazing PJ Students
Conservatory Canada Awards and Diplomas
The annual convocation ceremony at Conservatory Canada is our opportunity to acknowledge the many talented musicians who undertake our examinations, and to recognize their achievements in person. Each year we award over 180 medals and more than $30,000 in scholarships to students across the country. We also present Associate and Licentiate Diplomas, including an Honorary Licentiate Diploma awarded to an acclaimed musician or pedagogue who has made significant contributions to their musical community.

Danae's Symphony Ensemble Piece
Medieval Sea
Danae Kong was accepted to participate in the wonderful VS New program where she had the opportunity to work with musicians of the Victoria Symphony Orchestra in composing her piece, Medieval Sea.
